How durable are DTF transfers? Will my design crack or fade?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are very durable β typically lasting 50+ wash cycles when cared for properly. Unlike vinyl, DTF won't crack or peel, and the colors stay vibrant over time. The transfer bonds directly with the fabric fibers for a soft, flexible finish that moves with the garment.
How should I wash my custom shirt?
To keep your prints looking their best:
- Wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle
- Air dry or tumble dry on low heat
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners
- Don't iron directly on the print β use a cloth or iron inside out
Following these simple steps will keep your design vibrant for years.
What's the difference between cotton, polyester, and blends?
Each fabric has its own strengths:
- 100% Cotton β Soft, breathable, classic fit. Best for everyday wear and natural feel.
- 100% Polyester β Wicks moisture, resists wrinkles, holds color longer. Great for sports and active use.
- Cotton/Poly Blends (50/50) β Best of both: softness of cotton with the durability of polyester.
DTF prints work beautifully on all three β the choice comes down to your preference for feel and use case.
Can you print white or light colors on dark shirts?
Yes! DTF includes a white underbase as standard, which means your design stays bright and vibrant on any color shirt β black, navy, dark green, you name it. Unlike screen printing, there are no extra charges or limitations for white ink on dark garments.
Do you have a minimum order quantity?
No minimums. Order one shirt or one thousand β we treat every order with the same care. Bulk discounts kick in at 6+ items, with bigger savings at 12, 24, 48, and 100+ pieces. Click "Bulk pricing" in the order form to see all tier prices for this product.
What file formats do you accept for artwork?
We accept PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, SVG, and EPS files. For best print quality, we recommend:
- 300 DPI minimum at the actual print size
- Transparent background (PNG with no background) for the cleanest results
- Vector formats (AI, SVG, EPS) when available β they scale to any size without quality loss
